Feature Engineer Locking & Security

Application feature owner who will cover Locking, Security, Access Authorization etc. related feature development and validation

Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position 

• Lead the development of features (Locking/Hybrid Fuel Door Release/PEPS/TPMS etc.) at system level from early feature development phase to production and manage feature upgrade and migration plan

• Ensure the feature deliverables completion on time with no open JIRA/FEDE/AIMS per program milestone

• Allocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality and feature performance targets

• Develop feature specifications, feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, test cases, feature verification plan etc. for new and modified features

• Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality improvement. Interact with program teams, core engineers and functional areas to create balanced solutions to competing requirements

• Work closely with UX and Product Owner team for new technology and trend introduction and feasibility study from feature level

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor or above Degree in Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering

• 5 years or above of experience in an Automotive Engineering related role

• Functional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, locking systems, lighting systems, etc.

• Electrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model

• Electrical D&R or system engineering experience are preferred, especially in locking system area

Functional / Technical

• Good understanding of the Vehicle electrical system and networks

• Good understanding of AutoSAR, CAN tools and diagnostics

• Familiar with vehicle Access Presence and Identity related features such as Locking/TPMS/PEPS/Vehicle Entry etc.

• Familiar with feature and function development process
