Designer will establish a streamlined and collaborative design workflow between  CMF NA and China CMF design
studios, ensuring alignment in strategy, execution, and brand consistency across the Lincoln brand.
Based in the Ford China Design Centre, the Designer will be responsible for Lincoln CMF Programs reporting into Lincoln
Design North America and will be required to support key meetings across both time zones

  • Conduct and monitor trends, technology, innovations and various movements e.g. lifestyle/cultural
  • Creation and Development of CMF Design Themes to Program Content
  • Creation and Development of CMF Design Concepts to Strategic Workstreams
  • Realisation of Colour and Materials design concepts into production ready solutions
  • Presentation of CMF Design Proposals with creative imagery and physical materials to support design related discussions
  • Prepare imagery to support milestone reviews to realise final Exterior and Interior content
  • Support product development maturity through physical model builds and digital tools such as VRED and VR
  • Follow CMF related program work from conceptual phase through to feasibility and production phase
  • Proactively partake in cross functional program and engineering industrialisation workstreams
  • Develop directional and strategic CMF summary documents support builds and Product Letter publishing
  • Work with Suppliers to develop all CMF materials for both internal builds and final product development
  • Support Colour Assessment and Colour Harmony Reviews both Raw Material and Prototype Parts
  • Preparation of research vehicles, show car and media event support
  • Dual Language skills (Chinese and English) with strong verbal and written English Skills
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design or Product Design
  •  5-7 years significant experience developing Colour and Materials for cars and/or products
  • Experience in conducting colour assessments and colour harmony
  • Knowledge of materials and technologies
  • Excellent visual expression and communication
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, VRED, Alias
  • Work effectively as team player internally and externally
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workloads
  • Colour Aptitude Certificate*
  • Product design experience and/or competence
  • Graphic design experience and/or competence
  • 3D Modelling software abilities (Alias-Blender)
  • V-Red Visualization and rendering ability
