The EECAE / EDS Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development and validation of the vehicle wiring.

  • 4 days on site in GTBC Ford Mexico. Naucalpan Mexico.
  • Develop and maintain physical schematics. 
  • Develop and maintain vehicle level topology. 
  • Perform wire sizing and in-line connector selection to ensure standards, specifications, and guidelines are met. 
  • Assign circuit and connector numbers per engineering guidelines. 
  • Select with the D&R harness to harness in-line connector, define pin outs and terminal sizing per engineering guidelines. 
  • Review, analyze, and sign-off circuit simulation (CAE). 
  • Perform architecture optimization studies. 
  • Analyze and breakdown Product Direction Letter and Trim Spiders (documents that contains features and options of an specific vehicle). 
  • Generate proposals to minimize giveaway cost and reduce total part count (complexity). 
  • Develop and maintain the build level complexity charts. 
  • Perform Harness Complexity Analysis. 
  • Perform engineering cost estimates. 
  • Develop and maintain in-line connector book. 
  • Develop and maintain Device Transmittal list.
  • Engineering Degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics) 
  • Strong English Proficiency (written, read, and oral). 
  • Microsoft Office Usage (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio). 
  • Time and Project Management. 
  • Proactive.
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Analytical thinking. 
  • Process oriented. 
  • Electrical Distribution System tool knowledge (E3 Zuken Cable or Mentor Graphics Capital Design) desirable. 
  • Ford GPDS desirable. 
  • Understanding of feature partitioning desirable.
