Release Train Engineer - Customer Domain

Job ID
59550
In this position...
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) for the Customer Domain is the execution lead for Ford Credit’s Master Data Management (MDM) transformation. You will not just track tasks; you will drive the strategy to migrate legacy systems (MCN) to our new Enterprise Party ID (EPID). You are accountable for the "One Plan"—integrating timelines across Digital, Legacy, Bank, and Ford Pro to ensure the successful launch of the Informatica MDM platform.

What you’ll do. . .

  • Develop and maintain the master execution plan (Gantt/Critical Path) for the MDM build, ensuring alignment between the Core Build team (Deloitte), Architecture, and consuming channels (Bank, FinSimple, Ford Pro).
  • Actively manage risks and dependencies to accelerate timelines (e.g., targeting Q2 for Digital Integration), challenging assumptions and removing blockers.
  • Hold system integrators and engineering teams accountable for delivery milestones, ensuring the Informatica MDM build meets architectural standards and business requirements.
  • Serve as the "Air Traffic Controller" for the migration from MCN to EPID, coordinating necessary changes across Legacy (Pinnacle/LA) and Digital applications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tracking high-level objectives (HIC) for Executive Leadership (SVP/EC level), translating technical progress into clear business status updates.
  • Proactively identify "Collision Points" between the MDM rollout and other major launches (e.g., Bank Go-Live, Unified Billing), developing mitigation plans to protect critical paths.

You’ll have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience, specifically managing complex data-centric or migration initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in creating and managing detailed execution plans (Gantt, Critical Path) while utilizing Agile/SAFe principles for team execution.
  • Experience managing system integration partners (vendors) and holding them accountable to SOW deliverables.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts (APIs, Data Models, Mainframe/Legacy Dependencies) to effectively challenge estimates and drive decisions.
  • Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, Informatica, or large-scale Identity Migration projects.

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience in Financial Services, specifically with Core Banking or Lending platforms (Pinnacle, Fiserv, Alfa).
  • Experience managing "Strangler Pattern" migrations (moving from Legacy Monoliths to Modern Microservices).
  • PMP or SAFe certifications (but with a mindset of "Delivery first, Framework second").
